Heads Up: Shakespeare^2 requires you complete test materials for any editorial position for which you apply. It's quite the packet.

I agree. It is quite a packet. You can do it in chunks, though. At least I hope you can, because that's what I did.

I did the copy editing test, then set it aside for a few days. I printed a fresh test and copied over my edits for neatness (I don't do this all the time, just for tests). It's a good thing I did, though, because I caught a few errors that I'd missed the first time.

The assessment test wasn't difficult for me because that's where I have the most experience. They don't give you guidelines for that one, so my experience helped. If anyone is taking that test and has never written assessment items before, I'd be glad to share what I've learned. I'm not an expert, but I like to be helpful.

I also took the content editing test and sent it in. I still have the writing test... but it's intimidating me.
