The Science Department at Holt McDougal—Austin, a leader in educational publishing for middle and high school markets, is currently seeking to expand its pool of freelance copyeditors. Assignments will become available in late spring and summer.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree, at least three years of copyediting experience, a working knowledge of the Chicago Manual of Style, and the ability to meet deadlines and perform high-quality work on a consistent basis. Course work in science; familiarity with the ACS Style Guide, NIST style, and Science and Technical Writing; and experience in electronic markup applications such as InCopy are preferred.
