Educational Writer, 4-8 ESL

Looking for an exceptional writer with experience developing educational content for English Language Arts (ELA) classrooms. This individual should have a strong understanding of the needs of ELA educators, and the types of content and assessments employed in grades 4-8. The ideal candidate will be familiar with Tier II academic vocabulary instruction for English Language Learners (ELL).

Skills and Requirements:
• 1+ years of grades 4-8 teaching experience, and/or equal time professionally writing education materials within this grade range
• Strong ELA curriculum planning and writing skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work cooperatively and meet strict deadlines

Nice to have:
• Experience working with, or writing for, Emergent Bilingual Learners / English Language Learners
• Familiarity with recommended vocabulary instruction for the Common Core

Description: Qlovi, a literacy education startup, is looking for an exceptional writer with experience developing ELA content for grades 4-8, and for ELL students. Project will consist of 20 short passages, 4 at each grade level, with appropriate Tier II vocabulary words incorporate therein. The right candidate may also be asked to develop aligned assessments, and/or help us build out this inaugural project.
