Math Worksheet Development

Progressive Education Group is developing a member based website to support today’s elementary school teachers.  Our goal is to offer worksheets that are progressive in both design and content.  We are looking for freelance content developers to write original, age appropriate content that current students will find engaging.  Reimbursement for this project is $750 and is based on completion of 250 approved Math sheets.
Application:
·         At least 2 examples that best demonstrate capabilities

Requirements:
·         Original material
·         Modern content
·         Common Core aligned (covering minimum of 25% of standards)
·         Includes answer sheet (if appropriate)
·         Files tagged with grade, topic and Common Core cluster code
·         Submitted in Microsoft Word
·         Art is allowed but not required
·         Timeline negotiable
Content Type: (250 sheets total, even distribution for each grade as appropriate)
·         Grade Appropriate: Addition/Subtraction/Multiplication/Division
·         Skip Counting
·         Measurement exercises
·         Time
·         Order of Operations
·         Place Value
·         Money
·         Geometric Measurement
·         Fractions
·         Pattern Identification
·         Algebra

$3/worksheet? Am I the only one to think this way too low? To get any kind of rate of compensation appropriate for professional work, there would have to be 10 sheets completed per hour, minimum. That's six minutes to create and polish off each sheet. What kind of quality can be had that quickly? Even at $15/hr, that's 12 min/sheet. Any lower than $15/hr, I'd be better off flipping hamburgers.

I did give him feedback on how low that was. Apparently, some of our readers do apply for this because he keeps sending them our direction.

You should refuse to post his jobs on this website unless he agrees to pay people a fair price for their work. That wage is an insult to writers and the work that we do.
