Reviewers Needed for College-Level Psychology Items
Seasoned assessment professionals
needed to review college-level psychology items (part-time, temporary, telecommuting)
Description:
We are an established publisher of college-level science textbooks and
supplements, currently developing items to accompany a new introductory psychology
textbook.
Reviewers will have access to the forthcoming edition of the
textbook and will be asked to review item banks and online quizzes that include
multiple-choice, short-answer, and essay items.
The responsibilities of a
reviewer include ensuring good content (accuracy, appropriateness, and
agreement with the book); and confirming efficacy (items must be well
constructed and include good distractors, test meaningful material, be clearly
written, show correct answers, etc.). If you’re interested in working on this
project, you will receive specifications and essential instructions; we would
depend on your content expertise and your familiarity with the creation of
effective assessment resources.
Required
experience: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in psychology.
Master’s or Ph.D. preferred, along with experience reviewing and/or editing
college-level psychology items (multiple-choice and constructed-response).
