Reviewers Needed for College-Level Psychology Items

Seasoned assessment professionals needed to review college-level psychology items (part-time, temporary, telecommuting)
Description: We are an established publisher of college-level science textbooks and supplements, currently developing items to accompany a new introductory psychology textbook.

Reviewers will have access to the forthcoming edition of the textbook and will be asked to review item banks and online quizzes that include multiple-choice, short-answer, and essay items.

The responsibilities of a reviewer include ensuring good content (accuracy, appropriateness, and agreement with the book); and confirming efficacy (items must be well constructed and include good distractors, test meaningful material, be clearly written, show correct answers, etc.). If you’re interested in working on this project, you will receive specifications and essential instructions; we would depend on your content expertise and your familiarity with the creation of effective assessment resources.

Required experience: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in psychology. Master’s or Ph.D. preferred, along with experience reviewing and/or editing college-level psychology items (multiple-choice and constructed-response).

Please respond with a current résumé and a brief cover letter that includes your assessment experience and area(s) of expertise in psychology.
